REAL-WORLD CONSEQUENCES

Risk becomes expensive when the weak point fails.

Severe weather, broken glazing, intrusion and blast damage can rapidly turn a manageable incident into property loss, business interruption and danger to people.

WHAT WE ASSESS

A 360° view of organizational risk

The goal is not a report that sits on a shelf. It is a prioritized roadmap that leadership can act on.

01

Physical Security

Entry points, glass and doors, access control, perimeter exposure, lighting, surveillance, visitor flow and delay strategies.

02

Severe Weather & Building Resilience

Wind, flying debris, glass failure, water intrusion, sheltering, power loss and recovery dependencies.

03

Workplace Violence & Intrusion

Unauthorized entry, active-threat exposure, lockdown options, notifications and response coordination.

04

Operational Continuity

Single points of failure, critical vendors, utilities, communications, data dependencies and staffing risks.

05

Policies & Preparedness

Emergency plans, escalation procedures, training gaps, drills, decision authority and communications.

06

Strategic & Emerging Risk

New technologies, geopolitical exposure, changing threat patterns and risks leadership may not yet be tracking.

THE ASSESSMENT PROCESS

From vulnerability to action

1

Discovery

Define the mission, facilities, concerns, critical assets and consequences leadership most wants to avoid.

2

On-Site Review

Walk the facility and examine access, physical vulnerabilities, procedures, people and operational dependencies.

3

Risk Prioritization

Separate minor concerns from vulnerabilities with serious potential consequences.

4

Executive Roadmap

Deliver clear findings, priorities, mitigation options and a practical sequence for action.

BUILDING ENVELOPE RISK

One damaged opening can become a building-wide problem.

INDEPENDENT BY DESIGN

The assessment comes first. Solutions come second.

Michael Fjetland’s separate experience leading Armor Glass International provides direct exposure to one often-overlooked building vulnerability: fragile glass. But this consulting practice is broader and independent. If hardened glazing is appropriate, it may be one recommendation. If cameras, access control, procedures, training, lighting, redundancy, communications or another solution deserves priority, the assessment should say so.

WHY INTEGRATED RISK GLOBAL SOLUTIONS

Experience across law, international business, security and crisis situations.

Michael “Fjet” Fjetland’s career spans more than five decades. His work and travels have taken him to approximately 50 countries and exposed him to international negotiations, complex disputes, fraud investigations, security concerns and high-stakes problem solving.

Following September 11, he appeared regularly on Houston television as a terrorism analyst. A lifelong pilot, he also served with the Civil Air Patrol, the U.S. Air Force Auxiliary, including search activity associated with the Space Shuttle Columbia disaster.

ADDITIONAL RISK EXAMPLES

Different threats. Same need to identify the weak link early.

NATIONAL RISK ASSESSMENT • UNITED STATES

National risk assessment and security consulting—with Texas roots and nationwide capability.

Integrated Risk Global Solutions serves organizations across the United States. Based in Texas, the practice brings particular experience with Gulf Coast severe weather and building vulnerability while providing national consulting for commercial buildings, schools, offices, property managers, healthcare facilities, nonprofits and other organizations. Assessments can address physical security, facility vulnerabilities, severe-weather exposure, forced entry, workplace violence preparedness, emergency planning, operational continuity and recovery.

Engagements can range from a focused building security or vulnerability assessment to a broader organizational risk review designed to identify weak links, prioritize improvements and help leadership decide where limited security and preparedness dollars will have the greatest impact.
